This is just good enough for rural areas where there is not much frequency traffic. it never works in cities. lots of disturbance and so it is a waste of money to buy it

I got the item quickly and was very happy to see it arrive. I put two AA batteries in and it didn't seem to work. I tried all the channels on it and none seemed to work. However, when I used the car outlet power adapter it worked fine. However, the transmitter has to be extremely close to the antenna. It worked fine in my compact commuter car. It did not work well with my MDX SUV as the antenna was way in the back of the vehicle. I had ordered two of these items since they were so cheap. I tried both items with the same result. Bottom-line this item is really only good for vehicles where the antenna is VERY close to where you want to place this FM transmitter.
