I have used these gold plated clamps in the past and I did get better starts, faster starts, and no amperage drops. These clamps are not made for that though they are made for areas where lots of corrosion can build up on the clamps or terminals. Good qualify battery wiring that is the correct size and gauge is also important as is having a good battery like a deep cycle battery. Without those two things these clamps wont give you anything better. Lastly, you cannot mechanically clean these clamps because if you do you will strip the gold plating. If for some reason you need to clean the battery terminals then remove the clamps first. You should not need to clean these clamps but if you do then use a chemical spray on cleaner. I learned from experience that you do not clean these clamps mechanically or you will strip the gold platting right off of them.

JUNK! Had to replace 2 hex screws with the corect size! Will not tighten up to post had to use spacers. Still came lose tightened again and busted right in half.. Very pretty though.. Just keep it on the work bench or a shelf for all to see, As this was not ment to be USED!! Oh" and did I mention its pretty??

I was not sent Metra terminals, they were a different brand which is disconcerting as I wanted to purchase the terminal covers for them and do not know where to find them or if they are made for this brand.

i bought these planning on using them but didnt. now i have them sitting there staring at me every time i walk by them in the garage. nice product tho!
