I have installed this product in my custom car and it looks right at home. It's very well made and functions very well to hold the battery in place, (mine is trunk mounted, bolted to the floor). It is machined very well with a brushed finish. The surface finish brush marks would be quite labor intensive to remove if you wanted to polish it. The Optima battery fits in it like a glove with all cut outs in the aluminum in the correct place.
There are several nice holders for the Optimas, but I think this one is the best of the bunch. Available in satin or polished, and very sturdy.
