Received the DIR 473V 3-button remote over a week ago. Price was >30, DIR mfr wanted $69 for same. Installer store was twice as much. Was new, genuine product, in original bubble pack, and came with an extra silicone replaceable button pad and battery. This remote replaces the one I lost, and it has more range and signal strength than the older remote,even with a new battery. This is as good as it gets for my 5 year old Directed Electonics 350HV alarm. Accompaning instructions were confusing, so went to Best Buy mobile electronics guy who programmed it for free in 1 minute or less.
