IIT 16700 Jumper Cable - 12 Feet, 8 Gauge

I purchased these before attending a music festival that had car camping. Most of the cars there were on so that the radio could be heard or cell phones could be charged. After 4 days in the desert, I used these to save many, many people. I have a V8 in my dodge dakota and this jumped a VW Jetta, Saturn Ion, Honda Element and a Ford truck (ranger maybe?). I also let several people borrow these cables and they were returned after successfully jumping other cars.

I know very little about cars, but I know these helped lots of people their cars started, so I would recommend them anyone.

The product is cheaply made. The rubber handles are just a piece of thin rubber sleeve loosely attached to the copper clamp. This could cause a short circuit if the handle touch any metal part of your car because you think the handles are properly isolated. Look for other brand.

They even work OK as jumper cables, probably. Though I, like lots of people, probably bought these things for solar or other low voltage DC power transmission.
