I finally decided to purchase a radar detector after receiving many speeding tickets over the years. After looking at many different models, I chose this one for it's high rating and affordable price. I wanted to wait a while to review the product to make sure it was a fair review. I've had it for about a month and a half and so far it has been wonderful. The very first day it saved me from a speed trap where the cop was hidden behind some large bushes. It has consistently alerted me when there is a radar detector in use. It came with all the required parts (dc plug and suction cup mount) so it was ready to use without purchasing additional parts. My only regret is that I didn't buy this sooner!

I have finally found the right radar detector, after researching many others. Don't be fooled into thinking only the pricey, high end detectors work well. I found they were so ultra sensitive that they beeped at everything. It was impossible to know what was a false alarm, or a real radar alert. THIS UNIT IS ALL YOU NEED. It's easy to program, goes off when it should, has minimal false alerts, and is well priced. I am so pleased with the XTR-430 that I am buying a second one for my husband, who has had his older model Whistler for 8 years. When you find a reliable product, stick with it!

it works. many features my old one didn't have. haven't been caught yet, but i don't speed much either. pay attention you may not much time after it alerts.

Upgraded from a Bel 880 I had for 10+ years. This has everything that one was missing.

Volume control, 360 degree protection, all the bands we need and a not so annoying tone for alerts.

Good price and value. Would definitely purchase again.
