If you have a Apple MacBook Pro and travel a lot, this is a must! It charges quickly and has a port for iPhone or iPad. Highly recommended.

Only DC 12volt change I could find for the new MagSafe2 Charger. It happen to be selling on amazon so worth a shot. The item is made decent build quality on the medium side, the high end part I would guess is the MagSafe2 looks to be same as original part for OEM chargers. If there was one with a Kevlar cable and metal DC plug because the unit does get quite hot and serve as a better heat sink.

My only question is longevity otherwise I would give the rating 5 stars and have only used it for 2 weeks. More efficient than inverting and the fan noise of my inverter was annoyingly loud plus having a separate charging cable when I was mobile was convenient. Leaving the DC Charger in the car and leaving the AC charger stored in laptop bag has been better then the occasionally situation of packing up and leave the car to find out I left the charger in the car.

Charging the macbook does not prompt any thing special just starts charging when you plug in and the led indicator light is of course the same. There is also a 2 amp USB charger on the plug and theoretically can charge your iPad at full speed.

Hope it last long... if it does not it would be nice to find a high quality built version.
