I bought this little guy to add my Sundown SD2-8" sub back in the mix. I have the SD 8" wired at 2ohms in a sealed underdash box (~.27) in my 2012 Smart Passion Cabriolet. The sub is rated 300 RMS but being a Sundown can always take more but I didn't want to have to modify the box and with the Alpine PDX V9 taking care of the rest of my speakers didnt want to add that much more power just for that lil sub upfront. I was a little reluctant to buy the M250 but all Alpines come with higher birthsheet scores than advertised so I figured it would be close enough to 300 RMS that I wouldn't know the difference and I was right. It came rated either 271 or 291 kinda hard to read. It does the job i intended it for perfeclty and was easy to tune as most Alpine amps are. It fits perfectly behind my passenger seat and is about half the size of the PDX amp. The only negative is I am not a fan of the screw smash type power and output terminals but that is just me. If you have a 300 RMS sub wired for 2 ohms get this little fella. At Amazon prices this is best quality for this price you will find. I ordered the wrong amp so I don't really know how well it would have worked. It's def a nice small package though, great for under a seat or small space.
